Palace aide to talk with PCSO head over betting fee hike
PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo could block possible betting fee increase in the other Lotto games of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) after it initially doubled the bet for the 6/49 game from P10 to P20, Presidential Management Staff director general Cerge Remonde said Friday. Remonde, confirming the order, said he has yet to talk to Valencia to determine their reasons for the increase. He said he would then report the results of his talk to the President. He said the President, aside from learning of the increase in Lotto bets, had also received some complaints and a possible intervention to block future increase in other Lotto games like the 6/45 and 6/42.
