When you buy a new car, you already know all you need to know about where the car has been. It has probably just been made, and may have only a few miles on it. These miles may be test miles at the factory, or they may be from others test driving it. Other than that, there is nothing more about the history of the car that you should know before you buy. You want to know the features and safety issues, of course, but you know it’s never been in an accident. There are some thing that most people are comfortable with and other things that make them uncomfortable. I consider myself a fairly confident person that can relate well in most situations, except when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. I think this is a result of having a very bad experience with the first car dealer I dealt with. I was young and had very limited funds and he took advantage of my lack of knowledge about vehicles. I lost most of my savings on that vehicle and I have hated car shopping ever since. I am always certain that I am going to get ripped off.

No one wants to think they could be involved in car accidents, but there are many times when this is just what happens. Driving is easy enough, but there are times when drivers are distracted or the weather is bad, and things happened. No one wants to think that they are going to need to use their car insurance, but it can be a reality for anyone. I used to sell used cars, and so naturally I know every trick in the book.  One of the most important ones is to pay attention to what the customers know. If the customer is unfamiliar with the blue book used car values, you probably have a sucker on your hands. It’s not that knowing the blue book value makes you wise in all matters of automotive knowledge, but not knowing about it means that you have no way to evaluate the value of the vehicle. Blue book values are basically an estimate of how much a car is worth at any point in its lifetime. They get pretty detailed at times. You can tell a lot from the age of a car, how well taken care of it has been, whether it has had any accidents, and what repairs it has had done.

They are sometimes funny and sometimes make a serious statement. Some are timeless and some are topical. There are many outlets that retail the stickers and some companies supply customized ones with a personal message.

Before I ever got around to actually buying a car, I spent months looking through the classic car classifieds. It started off as a vague plan. I never really envisioned that I would one day own an antique car, but I did daydream about it a lot. I thought about what my dream car would be. Would I own a muscle car? Some exotic import? Or maybe ditch it all and get an old Harley roadster?

A tour bus and three cars collided this morning on the westbound lanes of Interstate 595, backing up traffic for miles in both directions, according to initial reports. The accident happened shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday near the State Road 441 exit, according to Sgt. Mark Wysocky, a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol.  Several air rescue units are en route. Initial reports state that about 33 passengers suffered minor injuries, two suffered serious injuries and three suffered some sort of trauma

A cloud of smoke leads Memphis Police to more than a dozen stolen cars. Cops say someone torched the cars in a wooded area in the 1100 block of Nora. When firefigthers arrived, they found many of the 16 stolen cars on fire. Police say all the cars had been stripped, evidence they had been used in a “chop shop.”Tyrone Capshaw moved to that block just two weeks ago. Had he known crooks were going to set up a chop shop in his backyard he says he “wouldn’t even have moved over here.”Larri Roland of LKQ Auto Parts isn’t surprised. Thieves have even broken into his junkyard for parts, on several occasions. Selling these parts on the street could mean hundreds, even thousands of dollars - which is why Roland says “chop shops” may be the new craze in the Mid-South.Police are having a difficult time finding witnesses to come forward.
