Victorians are driving an explosion in “treatment loans” for liposuction or cosmetic surgery on their chests and noses. Cosmetic surgeons are increasingly setting up finance for patients who can’t afford $10,000 for the average breast enhancement. One finance firm, justboobs.com.au, lends within 48 hours of women applying for funds for speedy breast work. Almost ever surgery contacted by the Sunday Herald Sun this week offered referrals to finance companies. Some worked directly with the companies or had brokers to arrange loans - at rates of up to 17.5 per cent. Mat Ishac, spokesman for St Kilda-based justboobs, said the company also could find a surgeon, with work often done within a week.
